We want to thank all of our family and friends for following us on our adventure. With over 2,100 miles of steep, rugged terrain to navigate, this hike will be both extremely challenging and rewarding.
Every year there are between 1000 and 3000 men and women that attempt to complete the AT in a single season (aka. Thru-Hike) The average number of hikers that succeed is 10% or 100-300.
This year we hope to become members of this so called "Thru-Hiker Fraternity"

Nice lunch break spot
I came across this bench under an apple tree one day. It was a great spot for a break in the 100 + degree heat.Notice the A.T. white blaze on the tree next to my very wet and dripping shirt.
