Green Snake

This little 3 footer crossed the trail right under our feet. I have never seen a snake of this color before. He looked intimidating but was actually very nonaggressive.

Audie Murphy Memorial

This monument is placed near where Murphy died in a plane crash. He was the most decorated soldier of world war two.

Keffer Oak

This tree is the second largest Oak tree on the entire trail.

Large Mushroom

These mushrooms grow on the ground or on the side of trees. This one was about 6-8 " wide.

Unknown Creature

This little guy stings badly when touched. It causes swelling and sometimes a trip to the doctor.

This 3ft. snake crawled across the road while we were taking a break.

This family owned and operated hostel serves only home grown organic meat and veggies. They also sell home made bread.














 Every night before dinner guests must hold hands in a circle and tell what they are thankful for and their names.
