We want to thank all of our family and friends for following us on our adventure. With over 2,100 miles of steep, rugged terrain to navigate, this hike will be both extremely challenging and rewarding.
Every year there are between 1000 and 3000 men and women that attempt to complete the AT in a single season (aka. Thru-Hike) The average number of hikers that succeed is 10% or 100-300.
This year we hope to become members of this so called "Thru-Hiker Fraternity"

How did Gator join the group?
ReplyDeleteWe met up with section hikers going from springer to Blood Mtn. Gator was our trail dog for a couple of days, great dog and good for bears!
DeleteDid you bump into some people with a dog ot did he just wonder up? If he wondered up you should keep him along for the trip. The more the marrier!
