We want to thank all of our family and friends for following us on our adventure. With over 2,100 miles of steep, rugged terrain to navigate, this hike will be both extremely challenging and rewarding. Every year there are between 1000 and 3000 men and women that attempt to complete the AT in a single season (aka. Thru-Hike) The average number of hikers that succeed is 10% or 100-300. This year we hope to become members of this so called "Thru-Hiker Fraternity" Enjoy!! Tony and Cory

The " Roller Coaster "
This section of the trail is/was very difficult. The nickname comes from what is 10-12 closely packed steep ascents and descents with no flat ground in between. It was at least 100 degrees with 90+ % humidity the two days I rolled through here. Thank God there was plenty of streams to refill my water bottles.
On my way up a 400 + ft. steep and rocky section of the roller coaster. What a Ride !
