We want to thank all of our family and friends for following us on our adventure. With over 2,100 miles of steep, rugged terrain to navigate, this hike will be both extremely challenging and rewarding. Every year there are between 1000 and 3000 men and women that attempt to complete the AT in a single season (aka. Thru-Hike) The average number of hikers that succeed is 10% or 100-300. This year we hope to become members of this so called "Thru-Hiker Fraternity" Enjoy!! Tony and Cory

Harpers Ferry
My buddies the "broomstick brothers" as we enter Harpers Ferry, W.VA.
and 10 minutes later when it began to pour. Taken from my hostel , the Town Inn. Harpers Ferry was a very important town during the civil war. It was here that the bloodiest day of the war took place. An estimated 21,000 men were wounded during the battle of Antietam nearby. The town was very strategic because this is where the Potomac and Shenandoah rivers meet.
